Lifestyle and Aftercare
Healing a fresh piercing takes time, patience, and at times may require some temporary lifestyle adjustments. The following activities greatly affects the healing time:

  • Swimming - We do not recommend swimming or submerging a fresh piercing in pools, oceans and lakes for 2 months after getting pierced.
  • Contact Sports, Helmets - Activities that have a high risk of bumping, snagging, impacting, or hitting your piercing, (i.e. boxing, jujitsu, martial arts, or activities that require tight fitting helmets) may increase the risk of irritation.
  • Initial jewellery must not be removed for the duration of your healing timeThe only exception is when upsizing or downsizing the post (only performed by our piercers).

Anatomy
Each person is unique in their own special way. Not all piercings can be performed for one's unique anatomy. Our piercers will perform an initial anatomy check during your appointment.

Jewellery
We only pierce with jewellery from our showroom. This is because we follow standards for initial piercings set out by the Association of Professional Piercers and all of our jewellery meets or exceeds these standards.

Aside from septum, daith and some adult piercings, we do not pierce with hoops for initial jewellery. This is because hoops move around quite a bit in a freshly pierced piercing channel which greatly affects healing time. They also tend to easily get snagged on hair, fingers, clothing, headphones etc... which is not the best for piercing healing.

For all new piercings, we pierce with slightly longer posts, or diameter (for hoops and rings) to accommodate the normal swelling that will occur in the first few weeks after getting pierced. We recommend downsizing your post after 6 - 8 weeks.

Pregnancy or Nursing
We are not able to peform any piercings if you are pregnant, or if you have been nursing for less than 6 months after giving birth.

ID
Please bring valid, government issued photo ID to your piercing appointment. For minors getting pierced, we require ID from both the parent/guardian and the minor. A birth certificate paired with a school ID or Health Card is acceptable ID for minors.

Pets
We love pets, however, in order to maintain the highest level of health and safety, pets are not permitted inside the studio. If you have a service animal, please call in advance so we can make preparations.

Piercings
We pierce with single use sterile piercing needles. We do not use piercing guns, nor do we recommend getting pierced with one. More info on Piercing Guns.

Refunds
Because piercing jewellery enters your body, it is considered a personal item. For this reason, all jewellery is non-refundable.

COVID-19
Please contact us to reschedule your appointment if you are experiencing any COVID-19 symtoms.
