Light Up Chinatown! 2025

Get ready to celebrate the vibrant culture and community of Vancouver's historic Chinatown! The Light Up Chinatown! festival is returning for its fifth year on August 16  & 17th. This free, two-day outdoor street festival will be held on the 500-block of Columbia Street (right next to Ouro) and is a fantastic way to experience the best of our neighborhood.
 
Light Up Chinatown! offers something for everyone, from delicious food and live entertainment to a dedicated kids' zone. You can indulge in a variety of hawker-style street food from local favorites and enjoy special collaborations between Chinatown's culinary stars. There will also be traditional lion dances, martial arts demonstrations, and live music from talented local artists!

While Light Up Chinatown! does not offer on-site parking, there is an EasyPark parking complex less than a minute walk away located in Chinatown Plaza at 106 Keefer Street. Metered street parking is also available.

500-block Columbia St will be closed to traffic, while Keefer and East Pender Streets will remain open for cars and public transit. Please be mindful of detours.
